RE:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM Collection
This collection brings together both parts of RE:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM. Re-edited from Kunihiko Ikuhara's television anime Penguindrum and featuring new footage and a new narrative framework, the films follow twins Kanba and Shoma Takakura as they search for the Penguin Drum to save their sister Himari, acting on orders from a mysterious penguin hat. Guided by Momoka Oginome, the librarian of a strange library, the brothers revisit the fates they and their companions share and take on a new mission to protect the world. Across both parts, the story explores memory, love, sacrifice, and fate as a retelling and re-interpretation of the original series.
