Glorious Mother

It might have been more predictable for there to have been a "Father Time" presiding over this potted history of mankind's obsession with fighting/killing each other, but in this simple but quite effective animation it's more like "Mother Time" who watches as a two-tone, but colourless, flag becomes a symbol of pride, patriotism, violence and destruction. It's told from the perspective of an impressionable young child who vacillates between enthusiasm for and revulsion of what is presented over the generations of human militarism and it's worth a few minutes as a quickly-paced description of man's inhumanity and addiction to it.
