With just one week to go until their nuptials, the partially deaf 'Emma' (Zendaya) and 'Charlie' (Robert Pattinson) are nervously anticipating the big day. Planning is still incomplete as they sit down with friends 'Rachel' (Alana Haim) and her husband 'Mike' (Mamoudou Athie) for the onerous task of selecting the menu. The mushroom risotto seems to be a winner, though quite what was wrong with his idea of a cheeseburger I don't know, and so they turn their thoughts to the wine. A little tipsy, they begin to play a game that ends up with 'Emma' revealing something about her past that shocks all three others around the table. Most of us are no doubt familiar with the expression “You think you know somebody,” an often-highly disillusioned reaction that arises when we become aware of some kind of previously unknown deception involving someone that runs contrary to our beliefs about that person’s nature. The impact can be severe, too, particularly when it relates to someone close and centers on an especially shocking revelation. So imagine what it must be like when one learns something appalling about one’s fiancée only a few days before the wedding. What effect will such news have on the ceremony, not to mention the prospect of spending the rest of one’s life with that individual? i think it is a lovely movie about finding love, in the shadow of guns though. love is when you do not need a reason to forgive. sweet and amusing!

Impressive acting by Zendaya, better than in other movies. Plot: Soon or later every couple discovers aspects of their partner they didn't expect and bring doubts. Unless you love one another and can't resist giving more chances, and realize everyone makes mistakes.

Days before walking down the aisle, what was supposed to be the making of a modern fairy tale turned into a psychological minefield for me. I went into The Drama expecting a quirky romance and got a punch in the gut disguised as social satire. The premise revolves around a shocking confession that completely challenged my views on morality, empathy, and how fragile appearances are in our era of constant scrutiny. Fair warning: if you're hitting the theater hoping for a lighthearted rom-com, you're going to crash headfirst into a very uncomfortable mirror of our own hypocrisies. I have to admit, Borgli has an undeniable knack for creating pure discomfort. He took super ordinary events, like a dinner party with close friends, and turned the whole thing into a pressure cooker about to blow

Zendaya and Robert Pattinson give spectacular, deeply vulnerable performances, perfectly matched by an uneasy score and brilliant sound design. While the triggering subject matter occasionally focuses too much on the groom's panic rather than allowing the bride to fully explain her story, its critique of performative virtue over genuine human redemption is incredibly powerful. It's an emotionally honest, thought-provoking film that I won't forget so soon.
