The movie follows the premise that a regulation prevents sex for unmarried folks during the whole year except a 12h period that became a big night where people go out to accomplish all their fantasies. The story follows Ellie, who doesn't want an one night stand and has the seemingly impossible task of finding something meaningful in this night, and Owen, who was just reject by his girlfriend who wanted to "explore" someone else. They keep coincidentally meeting throughout their 12h of misadventures. Not exactly my type of movies but the jokes work well and the plot is good. There is a lot of care in the background of the scenes to add in small jokes related to the "only one night" topic. Good movie overall

Monica Barbaro delivers a career-best performance, and contrary to some of the backlash, her chemistry with Callum Turner is one of the film's real strengths, not a weak spot. Clever soundtrack choices set the tone, though an overstuffed first act and a few distracting subplots keep this from being more than a fun little watch.

After decades of free love, the US government has decided that unless you are actually married then you have to keep it in your pants. They've even designed a special chip that will detect whether or not you get up to any horizontal jogging, so there's no cheating the system - except for one twelve hour period each year when condoms are like gold dust. "Owen" (Callum Turner) runs his own pizza place and has his own girlfriend, so cruising the streets isn't on his to-do-list tonight.
