If you miss the days of wild, unhinged exploitation cinema that you'd find on a dusty VHS rental shelf, then Psycho Sex Dolls is exactly the shot of adrenaline you need. It's a bold, trashy-in-the-best-way tribute to 70s and 80s grit, mixed with a very modern (and very messy) take on the Al revolution. Seeing Simon Weir play the desperate, downward-spiraling Damien Self is worth the price of admission alone-he brings a "lovable dirtbag" energy that anchors the whole chaotic ride. The movie starts as a biting satire of the adult industry but takes a sharp, bloody turn into full-blown horror that caught me completely off guard.
