Yeah, who doesn't love Robert Johnson, right? OK, well that's not true, I have friends that are Beatles fans... and the thing about them is that they are pure, unadulterated, pop. And the Stones play the blues. Cream plays the blues, Grand Funk, CCR, even Pearl Jam from time to time. The people that don't like Robert Johnson are pure pop fans. Everyone else listens to the blues. That is what this is, it's a love letter to the blues via the Robert Johnson crossroads legend, the traveling hobo bluesmen of the 1930s, it's a thank you to people like WC Handy and everyone that goes down to Memphis and works their way south just to see where it all started.
