In the Sahel, Kaltoumi, a young mother, is banished from her community and separated from her baby after being accused of trading with terrorists. Determined to recover her child, she sets out on a journey that brings her into contact with a group of women living on the margins, in a story about motherhood, survival and resistance to both terrorism and patriarchal control.
