“Yen’s Life” received the Silver Lotus award at the 19th Vietnam Film Festival in 2015 (including Best Actress in a leading role, Best Cameraman, best production design and best soundtrack). It also won top prizes at the 9th World Premieres Film Festival in the Philippines in 2016. The film is a touching story about Yen, a lovely 10-year-old country girl who was forced to marry Hanh, a 9-year-old boy. Her life was subject to the ups and downs of her husband’s family. The film portrays the strong perseverance and virtue of Vietnamese women as well as the search for happiness. With “Yen’s life”, Dir.
