**WOKEN** by writer and director Alan Friel, is a dystopian mystery thriller of a heavily-pregnant woman who awakes suddenly after appearing to have plummeted to her death from a craggy cliff overlooking the sea. Convalescing in an isolated seaside farmhouse with no memory of who she was -- Anna (Erin Kellyman) is introduced to her husband James (Ivanno Jeremiah) and neighboring couple Helen (Maxine Peake) and Peter (Corrado Invernizzi) -- and, worse, no memory of where she is. As the pieces begin to come together, and the advent of her baby's birth approaches Anna becomes suspicious of what is going on and why things seem so austere and isolating for a society seemingly on the verge of complete collapse.
