Paulino Masip (11 May 1899 – 21 September 1963) was a Spanish writer, playwright, journalist, and screenwriter of the Generation of '27. Born in La Granadella, Lleida, Spain, he worked as a journalist and editor in Spain before going into exile in Mexico in 1939 following the Spanish Civil War. He became a Mexican citizen in 1941. In Mexico, Masip devoted much of his career to screenwriting, writing more than fifty scripts for Mexican cinema from 1941 onward.
