Miguel Coyula

Miguel Coyula (Havana, March 31, 1977) is a Cuban filmmaker and writer. He is a graduate of the Directing Specialty at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. Coyula has worked on his films outside the industry, exercising various disciplines, and usually taking several years to complete. His work is characterized by the use of allegory and collage, in a hybrid of genres and styles. He has been described by international critics as a virtuoso and a renovator.
