Mostafa Oskooyi was an Iranian theater director, actor, and arts critic, recognized as a pioneer in Iranian theater. Born in Tehran, he pursued acting studies in his hometown before specializing in direction at the Moscow State Institute of Performing Arts, graduating in 1955. Upon returning to Iran, Oskooyi became the first professional actor and director to qualify in Tehran, significantly influencing the development of modern Iranian theater.
