Biography
Saul Alpiner was born in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1927. After serving in the US army (1945-47), Saul attended and graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in broadcasting. He moved to New York City and got a job as a radio broadcaster at WHLI in Hempstead, NY. He married Carol Kantrowitz in 1956, and started working at RCA Records as an account manager. Saul and Carol had three children (Meryl, Debbie and Michael). He began working at CBS Records in their special products division before returning to broadcast media.
