Bruno Carnide (Leiria, Portugal, 1987) is a film director and producer, and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Twice nominated for the Sophia Awards of the Portuguese Academy of Cinema, he develops an auteur body of work that crosses fiction, animation and documentary, exploring themes such as memory, identity and the materiality of the image, frequently resorting to analogue film as a narrative element, one of the distinctive hallmarks of his cinematic language.
