Biography

Manuel Eyzaguirre is a Peruvian filmmaker, film editor, consultant, and instructor based in Chiclayo, Lambayeque. He is a promoter of regional cinema in northern Peru and a pioneer of guerrilla filmmaking in the area. His work explores hybrid formats between documentary and fiction, experimental cinema, and non-fiction, focusing on social and family memory, identity, and self-reflection. He received the DAFO Economic Stimulus grants from the Peruvian Ministry of Culture for the production of his feature films Libertad and Domingo, both completed and in distribution.
