Manuel Bayo Gisbert

Manuel Bayo Gisbert is a Mexican filmmaker, photographer and journalist. His work examines systemic violence in relation to territory, memory and history. After surviving kidnapping and torture in 2020, he began a long-term, multimedia audiovisual exploration of serious human rights violations in Mexico through collaborative and intimate processes; this project, A Solid Home, explores the history of violence in Mexico through still and moving images.
