Ligia Ciornei was born in Suceava, a city near the border with Ukraine, which was and is a source of inspiration for her films. He lives in Bucharest, during which time he studied Film Directing and Film Production at the National University of Theater and Cinematography "I.L Caragiale", Bucharest. He is currently a doctoral student at the same university.
