Cedrick Valenzuela

Cedrick Valenzuela (b. 2001) is a Filipino filmmaker from Sagay, Negros Occidental, currently based in Manila. He sees filmmaking as an extension of himself, often drawing from his fears, anger, and personal heartbreak. For him, writing from a place of emotion is a way of processing experience and finding healing. In 2025, his short film When It Rained Malunggay Leaves premiered at Sine Kabataan 8, where it won Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Editing.
