Manuel Herreros de Lemos

Manuel Herreros de Lemos (born 1956, Caracas, Venezuela) is a Venezuelan photographer and filmmaker. He is best known for Trans (1982), a short documentary co-directed with Venezuelan artist Mateo Manaure Arilla. Shot on 16mm in Caracas, the film portrays the lives and experiences of a group of trans women and travestis and is considered one of the earliest Venezuelan audiovisual works to address trans identities from an affirmative perspective.
