Jill V. Dae

Jill V. Dae is a writer, director, and prodcuer from Hong Kong now based in Los Angeles. Her genre-bending filmmaking fuses surrealism with social commentary. With a background in photojournalism and a brief stint as a Myspace-famous "scene kid", Jill’s stylized aesthetic draws influence from early-2000s punk and internet culture blended with cinema vérité - the tension between beauty and violence continuing to define her work today. Her films have premiered at Oscar-qualifying festivals such as Palm Springs (“Honeywell”), LA Shorts (“The Discovery”), and most recently “DEI”. She was named “…
