Glen S. Fukushima

Glen Shigeru Fukushima is an American academic, businessman, and philanthropist. He is currently a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. and, in April 2022, was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as vice chairman of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation following his appointment by President Joe Biden. Fukushima was widely suggested as a potential U.S. Ambassador to Japan in 2020 due to his extensive experience in U.S.-Japan relations.
