**Those crazy summers** Based on an undeniably lurid script (in the vein of Robert Mulligan's "Summer of '42"), Christian Lara constructs a rather weak narrative, perhaps because he conceived it solely for the audience of alternative pornographic cinema. And indeed, the sex scenes, featuring the delightful Michèle Perello in her forties, are truly beautiful and don't focus on the explicit, but rather exude a genuine romanticism, unusual in commercial adult films. But, as I've already mentioned, the narrative lacks sophistication; it doesn't delve into the main characters or their individual idiosyncrasies. I would have liked to know, for example, why Helene seeks romantic support when she has to separate from her partner for a week (a week!) for work. Something happens there that we don
